Podcast Transcript: Lab Session 1 Reflections — Martin Kharumwa

So one of the key takeaways for me from the lab sessions was our time visiting the Uganda Museum during the Idi Amin exhibitions, ‘Unseen Images’. I think that our time in labs examining the exhibition brought up different ways of seeing and interpreting public art that is hosted in institutional spaces like the museum. I think one of the other key takeaways was that potential for what was a very brilliant combination and curation of images to also have an undertone of political propaganda, which I don’t think I had observed whilst going through the museum and it was really only something that we unpacked later on whilst going through the lab sessions.
